Sales Representative – Spine
We are seeking experienced Spine Sales Representative to join our Sales & Marketing team.
The ideal candidate must be career oriented and looking for additional responsibility and increased financial reward. They will be responsible for contributing to the company’s wide sales objectives, strategic objectives of revenue growth and quality customer service through the sale of spine products to targeted accounts.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develops relationships with surgeons and other appropriate personnel.
- Increasing sales among orthopedic surgeons in assigned territory.
- Case coverage with existing & new surgeons.
- Execute Clinical aspect of the Sales Cycle (including in-servicing, training, scheduling) including administration tasks such as obtaining prior permission to attend surgery, securing purchase order and other issues related to POs and invoice approvals in purchasing.
- Ability to deliver “on-call” service.
- Answer a wide range of questions concerning surgical applications, as well as clinical technique related to spinal implants.
- Provide training and support of new product launches.
- Remains informed of new products and other general information of interest to customers; monitors and gathers information on competitive activity.
- Meet or exceed territory sales objectives (product and target accounts).
- Must be able to travel up to 50%, including up to 20% overnight travel annually.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or biology/physiological sciences.
- At least three years sales experience in spine instrumentation, including OR case coverage.
- Must have fundamental command of spine fusion instrumentation and be able to disseminate this knowledge to the end-users.
- Must have thorough understanding of spine anatomy, pathology and biodynamics.
- Account management skills, which include problem-solving and customer relations.
- Excellent organizational, oral, computer and written communication skills.
- Must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move instrument sets.
- Must be able to drive an automobile.
- Must complete In-house product training program.
- Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a strong history of success in sales, be credentialed and prepared to cover cases upon hire (or be able to obtain credentialing within 30 days).
